Mr. Snyder has a broad legal background encompassing over 40 years of experience in private practice, advising and litigating international business and trade issues in an ever-expanding global economy. Mr. Snyder also possesses a unique background in civil and criminal litigation matters, before state, federal, and appellate courts as well as before the U.S. Court of International Trade.
Mr. Snyder has extensive government experience, as a former U.S. Customs Officer specializing in duty assessment, classification and valuation of goods, inspection, legal advisement concerning regulatory compliance, and as the former Chief of Fines, Penalties & Forfeitures of the U.S. Customs Service (Los Angeles – Long Beach Seaport / Los Angeles International Airport). He has a history of providing comprehensive expertise in compliance with government trade and customs regulations, with special focus in Sino-American trade, including over 30 years of extensive travel to the People's Republic of China and Taiwan (Republic of China), interfacing with global clientele. Mr. Snyder has also demonstrated experience in negotiation and mitigation of high yield penalty assessments and asset forfeiture trade transactions.
